André Kempe and Oliver Thill have been running their studio in Rotterdam for ten years now. The two German architects are just as well known for their inexpensive, clearly structured buildings as they are for their relentlessness in the search for extraordinary detailed solutions and unconventional materials. In 2009, they were voted Dutch Architects of the Year. In the current “Crystal Talk”, the Swarovski series of interviews in collaboration with BauNetz.de, the two architects with Saxon roots champion their profession’s rights, a cause that has even taken them as far as the Dutch parliament.
