A strong HMI projector stands on the floor of a room, in front of it a wave-generating machine. The projector projects light onto a convex mirror with a diameter of 70 cm. The wave machine is equipped with yellow and blue colour filters and refracts the light into light reflections similar to water reflections. The light reflections move slowly up and down, enabling them to have an effect on our sense of balance.

Olafur Eliasson's surrounding "Die organische und kristalline Beschreibung" is typical for the artist, who primarily concerns himself with physical phenomena. In his works he creates artificial landscapes, climatic or biological processes as well as light and colour phenomena with which he questions the traditional difference between nature and art. Alongside air, water, fog, fire and colour pigments, light plays an important role.
