Stefan Diez mainly prefers a practical approach, which is why his works emerge less from the drawing board and more through working directly on and with the material.
From design to realisation Stefan Diez does not like to relinquish control and with almost perfect handwork masters his work alone. With Christopher de la Fontaine, the German designer Stefan Diez developed the Bent chair, which he sees as multi-purpose; it also seems to be suitable as an end table or footrest. The individual surfaces are distinguished by a perforation pattern and it can be folded in manifold ways.
