What truly makes STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal stand out is the sparkling play of colors: because the special STRASS® Brilliance refracts the light, striking the crystal in all its spectral colors. The STRASS® logo takes on this spectral play of colors. The STRASS® Signature is a trapezoid logo engraved in STRASS® crystals and hence indicates the highest quality. The STRASS® Certificate vouches for lighting creations trimmed exclusively with STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal.
Unrivalled brilliance
The purity of the material, the precise cut, the individual quality control and perfect polishing are prerequisites for the unrivalled brilliance, sparkle and play of color for which STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal is so well known.
1. Purity
To create STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal the highest quality raw materials are carefully selected and processed and constantly monitored, in accordance with a secret recipe. STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal is consequently distinguished through its:
Perfect purity and clarity: It is free from haze, streaks or bubbles.
Optimum transmission: Light can penetrate the crystal very well.
Optimum dispersion through purity and surface treatment: Light is reflected particularly well and broken down into its spectral colors. Depending upon angle of view this results in a fiery play of color within the crystal itself as well as in the room, on the ceiling or wall.
2. Precision cutting
The more perfectly the crystal has been cut and polished, the more intensively the play of the spectral colors will be. The Swarovski light laboratory researches the optimum arrangement of facets for every form:
- The form and cut are absolutely precise.
- The facets are cut precisely to complement one another.
- The hole is optically pure, making the crystal even more brilliant.
- Top precision over the entire STRASS® product line, in all sizes and shapes.
Only with the sophisticated cutting technology developed by Swarovski can perfect and highly brilliant crystal be manufactured. The continuous further development of manufacturing technologies and know-how results in the constant emergence of new cuts and product innovations.
3. Polishing
Special surface refining makes STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal extremely smooth and thus largely dirt repellent: Impurities like dust and moisture do not cling. The occasional cleaning required is a simple process.
4. Quality control
STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal guarantees a uniform standard of the highest quality: Continuous monitoring during the entire manufacturing process. Individual inspection and selection of each individual crystal by trained and experienced staff.
Simply clear: cleaning
The special surface refinement makes STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal largely dust repellent and moisture resistant. It is sufficient to occasionally lightly clean the STRASS® crystals to maintain their full reflectivity in the long term:
Do not remove STRASS® crystals from the chandelier.
The use of cotton gloves prevents fingerprints. Wipe off a light layer of dust with a clean, dry, antistatic cloth. For heavier impurities use lukewarm water mixed with a little dishwashing liquid and a clean micro fiber or a thin, lint-free cotton cloth. After wringing this cloth out as thoroughly as possible, gently wipe each individual STRASS® crystal with it. Then, dry with a clean cloth. Use only cleansers that will not damage the surrounding materials. When cleaning and wiping please pay close attention that the crystal’s mount or pinning is not accidentally opened.
STRASS® Signature
STRASS® crystals are recognizable as originals:
Each individual STRASS® crystal carries the STRASS® Signature, which is indelibly engraved in the crystal (clear crystal 12 mm and above, colored crystal 18 mm and above; no signature with the colors Bordeaux, Jet and Emerald).
STRASS® Certificate
Additionally, chandeliers and crystal lighting creations, which are exclusively trimmed with STRASS® Swarovski® Crystal may carry the special STRASS® Certificate.
The STRASS® Signature and the STRASS® Certificate are your and your customers‘ guarantee of owning the original.
