Iris Porsche Hotel Mondsee
At the Iris Porsche Hotel near the Mondsee in Austria’s Salzkammergut region, guests can immerse themselves in crystal: the bar and bathrooms sparkle, as well as, more recently, the wellness area. Mozart Wall, Salzburg
Spanning more than 200 square metres of wall, 35.000 STRASS® Swarovski® Crystals form a shimmering, ever-changing portrait of the great Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and those most important to him. The individual crystals are affixed over four layers of 504 stainless steel cables of 10 meters long each and thus recall four stage images of the loft floor of the adjacent theatre podium. Swarovski created this spectacular crystal installation for the “House For Mozart” in Salzburg, which opened in 2006.

Dazzling restoration at the Metropolitan Opera
Swarovski was delighted to collaborate with New York’s Metropolitan Opera to restore the iconic chandeliers in the Grand Tier Restaurant and lobby of the opera to their original brilliance. The refurbished chandeliers were back in place in time to light the inaugural celebration of the Opera’s 125th anniversary season on 22 September 2008.
